Oct. 13th Governors Meeting

Do not go gentle into that good night
Rage, rage against the dying of the light

Passivity has not worked in the past, and it is not an option now. The soon to be posted archives of Rutgers Crew Association reflect that generations of men have fought time and again to create and preserve Rutgers Varsity Heavyweight and Lightweight Crew.

Now is your time. Whatever your connection to Rutgers Crew–athlete, coach, family member, alumnus, rival team member, etc.–and whatever your position on the various issues–replace the head coach, leave the head coach in place; reinstate the heavyweights, reinstate the lightweights, reinstate both, etc.–it is  vital that YOU, as an individual, act. There is no place in this fight for handwringing or posturing. YOUR next opportunity to act is on Friday, October 13th at 11:00 a.m. at the Rutgers Board of Governors Meeting.  Please attend and state your position to the Board of Governors–your presence alone is important.

Rutgers Board of Governors Meeting, October 13, 2006, 11:00 a.m., Camden Campus Center, 326 Penn Street, Camden, NJ

There was an important job to be done and Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it. Anybody could have done it but didn’t. Instead, Nobody did the job. Somebody got angry about that, because it was Everybody’s job. Everybody thought Anybody would do it, but Nobody realized that Everybody wouldn’t do it. In the end, Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have done.
